I've been holding off for a week on posting my little darlings latest doctor visit stats. We had to change pediatricians recently due to Violet's retiring, so we saw a new doctor, Dr. Kasten. He seemed nice enough, asked of lost of questions
what can Violet say - really you want me to list off all her words?
can she brush her teeth? which should have been asked "does she want to brush her teeth?"
But my favorite question of them all:
What does she eat?
Why does this matter? because my little one weighs a whopping 24 pounds, which puts her in the 16% of her age group, to give some perspective she weighed 20 pounds at 1 year. After beating myself up for a few days, and talking to my mother, I realized she is perfectly healthy (have you ever seen her eat? she does not hold back) I learned that people were always commenting to my mom that I was so small (don't I wish that still happened?)
So Violet, all in all I think you're going to be just fine, you're just a little petite. Petite is a good problem to have.

Petite is perfect! After all, her mother is very petite, too!
Dude, not to be rude or anything, but Violet can "put it back". I've seen her stealing cake, eating a big bowl of chili, eating an entire bowl of snacks without stopping at my house, etc.
She's fine.
She's lucky.
Hopefully her body image when she's a teenager will remain in tacked!
I will second that, petite and sweet and perfect.
Love Nana,
Petite is certainly perfect! (I was the same size at her age, btw) And, hey, we have the same doctor's office now! Dr. Kasten is Mark's doc.
