Sun

If you haven't heard, it's been sunny here for over a week.  It's a rare occurrence for sun on a weekend too!   We packed up the Subaru and headed to the river (not very exciting... just the Willamette - but it was still great)  Last year we had a rough time convincing Violet to go near any water, she screamed and was terrified.  It's a new year, with a new toddler, who has decided that water is the bees knees.  The word I've heard the most today is "water! water" so if you have a kiddy pool and you want to invite us over (the down side of having a condo) I'm sure Violet won't turn down the invitation.

Our Annual "Camping" Trip

Every Memorial day, we do a family camping trip.  For years it was a weekend of wet tent camping (it seemed to always rain) and then last year we had the bright idea to rent a cabin since Violet didn't quite seem ready to brave the Oregon spring yet.  This year we headed out to Sunriver with Randy's brother and my sister.  We had a great time, only one day of very slight rain, and over all warm and sunny.  No complaints here.  Violet had a blast, hanging out with her cousin, playing with volcanic rock, feeding the ducks, and dancing to the Grateful Dead (not my idea)

Our camera broke this weekend, so we went out and bought a smaller one (I can't really live without a camera... sad huh?)  I was just playing around, but I thought she looked awfully cute.

We spend last weekend at Seaside with my family.  If you can believe it, the sun was out for 2 of the 3 days, it was still a bit chilly - but what do you expect from the Oregon coast?

Violet loves the slide, and the park.  Summer is almost here, looks like we may be at the park plenty!

I will have some updated photos, we've been a little busy around here (surprise surprise....) weddings, camping, colds, and so much more!  This month looks just as busy as last month (not like I'm complaining or anything)  I will get some pictures of this week

We did visit the Children's Museum today, and Violet has a blast, she ran around that place like it was Disneyland, I have to say it was pretty fun.  Thanks Henry and Molly for a fun time!
