My First Hair Cut

I've been itching to cut Violet's bangs for a couple of weeks.  Her hair is constantly in her eyes, and often has food attached to it.
Auntie Bunny came and visited us today, and gave me the push I needed.  Hopefully this will cure our food in the hair issue.  And yes I saved that first lock of hair I cut...
It was also very difficult getting a picture of her, she loves her Aunt and when she is around Violet will not sit still.
side note:  Yes, that is a pedicure toe thing she is holding.  I had been attempting to paint my nails all morning, and she wouldn't give them back, in fact she even took her nap holding on to it.

Violet & Ellie

Violet's friend Ellie came over this week, while her parents went out on a nice date (a great trade we've worked out!)

My Big Girl Elmo Tooth Brush

I was just mentioning our bedtime ritual, and here is Violet with her special Elmo toothbrush.  I'm determined to give her the gift of good oral hygiene (this comes from Nana Lulu...) She really likes to just suck the "fake toothpaste" off the brush, but it's a start right?

Bath Time

Every night before bed, we have some rituals.  Violet gets a bath, brushes her teeth, and finally a bed-time book with Daddy.  I originally believed that these bath times would calm her (in the beginning they did!) but now she can barely sit still, and is talking a storm, playing, and has a great time.    There goes my relaxing bath time.

20 Months this week

Violet is turning 20 months old this week.  Man, time sure flies.
She is getting so big and learning so many new things, mostly words right now.  I would list them all, but it may take a while some of her very favorites right now are:  Daddy, bird, bear, diego (go figure?), water, cookie, and the list goes on.  She loves to color, and has discovered Sesame Street - she realized that Elmo on TV was the very same Elmo she had in toy box.  Once she put two and two together Elmo has not left her side.
