Violet loved Grandpa DeGroot's hat, it was just a bit too big for her though...
We've had a good week around here, I was in Dallas all week so Violet was able to hang out with her Grandparents instead of going to daycare.

We had a special visit from Grandma and Grandpa DeGroot this week. Grandpa had a silly hat that Violet enjoyed playing with.

Violet Meets the Easter Bunny

Violet went to visit Nana and Grandad Barnett today, and met a new friend. She didn't cry, but seemed a little unsure when I first placed her in his lap. Happy Easter!

Learning to Clap

Clapping is the new exciting mile stone this week. Last night at dinner each time she would take a bite of food, smile and then clap. Yeah Violet! This video is very short, but it's all about clapping!

As you saw below, Violet has learned the art of pulling herself up on things, like her crib. Lately it's her toy box and the coffee table. She is content to just stand there and check everything out. Of course we have to remove everything from the table.

Hand in mouth from teething? I don't know, we still have no sign of teeth...

Talking Away

Here she is just talking away, there are so many new sounds, I'm just waiting for a word to form. Diego has to be right there, just in case he can get that pacifier from her, he's obsessed with them...

Presents!

We love presents! Violet received a beautiful handmade quilt in the mail from Randy's cousin in Alaska this week. The best part is that it has Beatrix Potter on it, which I loved when I was little.
As you can see below there are many more new faces to Violet. She loves to swing her arms around, last night as she took her evening bath, she realized that swinging them in the water produces much splashing. Needless to say I was soaked by the end our "relaxing" bath time...

Standing up

Violet turned 8 months old a couple of weeks ago, but she was a little sick so we were slightly delayed in posting any pictures. She is really moving around a lot! I can barely keep up with her now days (it's time to hit the gym again!). Last week, I put her down for her morning nap, and about an hour later I could hear her talking to herself and making lots of noise, I decided to pop in and check up on her. This is what I found:

Cousin Jubilee

Say hello to Violet's cousin Jubilee Rose Domokos, she was born Saturday morning. Violet is so excited to have a little cousin to hang out with! Oh, the trouble those two will get into! Congratulations Mike and Tammy! We can't wait to meet her.

Just Hanging out with Grandad Barnett

My parents came to visit this weekend - they wanted to see both Violet and Ikea (both are very exciting and exhausting!) As usual Violet received lots of presents and attention. Here she is hanging out with her grandad.
